HISTORY OF PILGRIM JEWELLERY
Over the last few years,
Pilgrim has taken the world by storm and is considered the fastest growing
international fashion jewellery brands in Europe, if not the worlds. Pilgrim jewelry continually evolves in
step with the latest fashion trends yet has a twist - a small but significant
creative detail – that distinguishes itself from other jewellery available on
today’s market and incites positive attention.
Pilgrim was established in
1983 by Thomas Adamsen and Annemette Markvad in Denmark. The pair
spent a year selling jewellery which they collected on their travels in the
East. Some jewellery items were produced in their small apartment in Skanderborg
and they were always quick to turn a good idea into reality. They swiftly
began exhibiting their wares at trade fairs in Denmark and later on family
and friends became involved with the business.
Because business expanded so
quickly, Annemette and Thomas had to move into larger premises – the basement of a large, old house. From then on things
moved fast. Below are some of the most important milestones in the Pilgrim
history, from humble beginnings to becoming a leading brand for fashion
jewellery and accessories.
