How to Buy Jewellery for Women
by April Kerr
Women all around the world will agree -
the best presents come in small packages.
Unfortunately a lot of men are still not clear on this concept.
Luckily, if you are man in search of a gift for the love of your
life, you have made a step in the right direction.
Thought of giving her
flowers? Nice idea, but imagine her face when the petals
and leaves quickly turn brown and withered.
What about a box of chocolates? They are certainly guaranteed
to be eaten quickly and enjoyed, but will she thank you when she
steps on the scales and found the chocolate has gone straight to her
hips?
Jewellery on the other hand will be
treasured for ever. Every time she wears an item of jewellery
you have carefully selected for her, she will be reminded of how
much you love her.What
Jewellery Does She Wear?
You can learn a lot about a woman's
taste in jewellery by making a note of what she already wears, look
in her jewellery box, ask her friends and family. Here is a
list of what you should take note of:-
Metal Colour - Some women have a preference for metal colour.
If she has mainly silver jewellery, avoid gold and visa versa.
Stone/Enamelling Colour - Choose
colours that match her wardrobe and other jewellery. We have
found that the most popular colours on this website are shades of
blue, green and turquoise.
Necklace v Bracelet v Ring v Earrings - If one of these is
noticeably missing from her jewellery collection then there is
probably a reason for this. Play safe, if you have never seen
her wear a bracelet, don't buy her one!
Ring sizing can be difficult. You
could borrow one of her rings and take it to a jewellers for sizing,
or else look for a ring which is adjustable. We do our best to
only stock rings with an adjustable band.
Classic v Fashion - Jewellery is a very personal purchase so
unless you know her taste extremely well, then it would be best to
keep to simpler designs. Here are a couple of examples:- |
